This 3-day life coaching retreat in Bali is an invitation to stop and examine your life and see what’s working and what’s not. The Pause offers a safe space where you can unload your baggage, recharge your batteries, and leave feeling calmer, lighter, and in control. This experience of mental reflection, physical activity, and one-on-one coaching sessions will lay the foundation for a lifelong journey of personal growth.

Described as a ‘pit stop for busy people’ this three-day retreat literally allows you to hit pause on your life as rejuvenate, recharge, and sink deeper into yourself. This is not about finding quick answers, but about slowing down enough so you can start asking the right questions. Together we’ll reflect on what’s been happening in your life in the past 12 months and gain insights that will help us build a steady platform for the present and create a vision for the future.

Touch down in Canggu, one of Bali’s most treasured areas, and an ideal setting for your journey of personal growth. Over three days we will meditate, discuss, and explore your life, drawing a timeline to see how you’ve arrived at where you are today, and creating a vision for the year to come. The focus is on our 1:1 coaching sessions and self-reflection, but the process is flexible, with time at the beach, yoga, surfing, and exercising allowing you space to fully process the insights you encounter.

Specific activities act as common threads, connecting each day: The Question (finding the questions you need to ask right now) and The Letter (writing a letter to your future self) are just two examples. There is also plenty of time for journaling, visioning, musing, and dreaming. The ‘Value Exercises’ offer a chance to find out more about what drives you in life.

The Schedule

The schedule changes slightly from day to day, but each day’s agenda will be similar to the following:

  • Early morning physical activity (yoga or surfing)
  • Healthy breakfast
  • Life coaching conversation begins over breakfast
  • 1:1 coaching session (activities will include Wheel of Life, Time-Line, Personality Profiling, and Goal Setting)
  • Beach walk, life coaching conversation continues
  • Afternoon at leisure
  • Evening physical activity (yoga or surfing)

During more than 6 hours of 1:1 coaching, we will create a safe and supportive space where you can bring your deepest worries, fears, and thoughts. We will examine your life to see what’s working and what’s not. We’ll also use specific exercises and techniques that will reveal your values, key personality traits, and strengths, and determine how you can use this new information to start asking the right questions and set new goals and objectives for your life.



Surfing isn’t just a physical act, it’s an act of meditation. It’s about letting go, embracing the swell, and riding the wave. It’s a lesson that applies as much on land as it does in the ocean. It’s a life lesson in every session. Bali offers some of the world’s greatest waves, and whether you’re a seasoned pro or just getting up on the board for the first time, we’ll have a great time in the water. You’ll head out with a certified surf instructor who will teach you the basics of safety and technique on land before you catch your first wave in the warm waters of Canggu.



The ancient art of yoga has been a part of Hindu culture for millennia, and has a special home on the world’s only Hindu island. In every practice, mind and body work together to invigorate the spirit. We’ll incorporate yin yoga sessions, a slower, powerful complement to the more chaotic ‘yang’ energy of everyday life. The practice will increase flexibility in the deepest layers of the body, quiet your mind, and reduce stress.


Healthy Food

Charming cafes dot the quiet streets of Canggu, offering a range of delicious foods. Enjoy healthy breakfast bowls bursting with fresh fruit, colourful salads full of local produce, a plentiful coffee culture, exotic elixirs, richly spiced meat, seafood, and veggie dishes, and everything in between. Food plays a central role in the retreat – a healthy body feeds a healthy mind. What we eat will be fresh and plentiful. Vegan and vegetarian options are easy to come by and will reinvigorate the foodie inside all of us.


Located on Bali’s calm western coast, Canggu is a cultural hub for international travellers that come together for their shared passions: nature, surf, yoga, and delicious food. Canggu offers a serene counterpart to the more hectic and bustling parts of Bali, and you’ll feel an instant tranquility as the tropical air settles around you. The area spans three different beaches, each offering their own unique energy and equally spectacular sunsets. Aside from the perfect swell and relaxed smiles, Canggu is arguably most famous for its booming variety of local and international cuisines.
